Bio
Tijn van der Sanden, born in Eindhoven (1989), was exposed to music at an early age and, as a 3-year-old, accompanied his trumpet in the wind band of his father. At the age of 7 he started playing (electric) guitar. In high school, his attention was drawn to the classical guitar. Especially Spanish composers such as; Tárrega, Albéniz, Ponce, Sor and works by Bach inspired him. At the age of 16 he was accepted at the Conservatory of Tilburg and continued his studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. After his bachelor Tijn left for Seville and studied flamenco guitar at the Fundación Cristina Heeren. Here he acquired his basic knowledge of guiding flamenco singing and dance. started studying Music for film and theater at the Musicube in Bonn (Germany).

Tijn has his own music studio in Eindhoven where he makes recordings of various artists with professional mixing and recording equipment. He works with brands such as RME, Josephson and Neumann. With Compañía Encuentros Tijn has made four theater performances and performs them in the Netherlands and Belgium. He regularly plays as a solo guitarist. Together with Jessica Achten he also organizes a 2-monthly Tablao in Eindhoven, "Flamenco in de Knop". Various singers and dancers from the Netherlands and abroad are invited for this. He supervises the dance lessons at the flamenco dance school Espacio Flamenco Encuentros and teaches at his own guitar school, Guitar SchoolTijn.
